We proudly present our winning project, PerSePHOnE, as part of Open Call #1 – DEVELOP in Demeter, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 project (857202).
The DEMETER project is a large-scale smart-farming initiative, involving 20 test environments across 18 European countries, with active participation from 60 partners, 25 development sites, 6 thousand farms, and an impressive 38 thousand devices and sensors.
Our contribution to DEMETER focuses on topic 4, and we are pleased to announce that our project was the only one admitted among the 12 blockchain proposals. Specifically, we have successfully integrated our SeedsBit Traceability and SeedsBit Document services, providing significant added value to this ambitious initiative.
SEEDS has dedicated its efforts to the olive oil supply chain, demonstrating the effectiveness of blockchain technologies in enhancing transparency, traceability, and, most importantly, data quality throughout the entire production chain. We have implemented innovative smart contracts that validate data quality, ensuring a reliable and secure management of crucial information for the agricultural sector.
Our mission is to promote sustainability, efficiency, and trust at every step of the agricultural supply chain, and PerSePHOnE is a shining example of how innovation can drive positive change in the industry.
